Last Week's News: Green Hornet
Columbia pictures has decided to adapt the comic book character Green Hornet for a movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "'Hornet' was born during the golden age of radio, making its debut on Jan. 31, 1936, on Detroit's WXYZ. He was the creation of the station's George W. Trendle and Fran Striker, who also created the Lone Ranger. The series ran until 1952 on the Mutual and NBC Blue radio networks, in comic books and in two films from Universal Pictures in the early 1940s.' No word yet on any casting favorites.

We did or did not discuss this on our podcast, it's a long story.
But I can't understand resurrecting a hero that is known mostly to people 100 years old or older.
You know I am a fan of classic movies and old time radio, but I am not sure this will translate in to cash or viewers for Columbia.
